Therapy for Anxiety & Perfectionism
My Therapeutic Approach
At Tiny Cottage Therapy, I believe that being high-functioning doesn’t mean you have to carry anxiety alone or in silence. Even when you “have it together” on the outside, anxiety can be exhausting, pervasive, and deeply affecting your inner life. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in your values, your body, and your lived experience. Together, we’ll slow down the pace, notice what’s driving the urgency, and build strategies that let you move toward your goals with more ease, rest, and internal safety.
Healing doesn’t mean giving up ambition; it means cultivating steadiness, self-compassion, and clarity so that your drive comes from choice rather than fear.
Are These Struggles Familiar to You?
You may recognize yourself here if you often:
Push yourself to achieve, accomplish, and stay ahead with a plan and checklists
Feel restless, like there’s always something more to do, and like you’re “on” even when things are supposed to be off
Get stuck in overthinking, replaying what you should have done, worrying about what’s next, or what you might have missed
Have trouble relaxing, sleeping, slowing down—even when your body or mind is tired
Fear criticism, judgment, making mistakes, or losing control
Experience physical symptoms (i.e. tightness, restlessness, tension, headaches, racing heart) even when externally everything “looks fine”
Feel guilty about rest; or that slowing down means falling behind or letting others down
If you relate, you're not alone. Many people who seem like they’ve “got it together” inside are working with anxiety that’s deeply felt.
What I Help With
In therapy, we can work together on:
Identifying hidden anxiety patterns: noticing where anxiety shows up (thoughts, body, behaviors) even when it feels “normal” or builtin
Perfectionism & overachievement: exploring how high standards and fear of failure or criticism are shaping your choices, capacity, and self-worth
Rest & slowing down: learning practices, boundaries, and mindset shifts that support rest without shame
Physical & somatic grounding: working with how anxiety shows up in the body, helping you learn tools to regulate nervous system responses
Self-compassion & inner safety: changing the inner voice, easing the harshness of self-criticism, finding kindness for parts of you that feel vulnerable
Balance & values alignment: clarifying what deeply matters, reorganizing lifestyle, expectations, and priorities so your achievement supports your well-being, not undermines it
Coping with symptoms: managing sleep issues, restlessness, overthinking, chronic tension, physical discomfort
Is This The Work For You?
You might be ready for this if you:
Long to achieve, but want to stop feeling constantly on edge, behind, or burnt out
Are tired of the stress and physical toll (restlessness, tension, sleeplessness) that comes along with high performance
Want to be able to rest without guilt, slow down without fear of loss, make decisions aligned with you, not just what you should do
Sense that there’s more to life than checking boxes, perfecting, or constantly pushing forward
Are ready to grow your capacity for calm, presence, safety, and more sustainable ways of being
Let’s Begin
You can live with both ambition and ease. You can meet your goals without always running yourself ragged. You deserve to feel grounded, chosen, capable, and to let go of anxiety’s grip enough to live from what matters.
If this resonates, let’s connect. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can feel into whether this is the right fit, and we can talk about how we might work together.
